Over the past four months Petty has been taking part in the Pendleside Hospice Corporate Challenge. A now yearly event organised by Pendleside Hospice where local companies try and raise as much money as possible over a four month period between June and September. We’ve had numerous and innovate fund raising events from cake sales and raffles to the Pendle Hill photo Trig Point challenge (see our Facebook page) a public chest waxing, many physical challenges, like the Yorkshire three Peaks and the Great North Run, and culminating in our Ball at the Fence Gate at the end of September.
All the team at Petty have worked really hard and have all contributed in some form or other and we’re extremely proud of them all. Thank you Team Petty.
But our biggest thanks must go to you the general public of Burnley and Pendle. We’ve been blown away by the support and generosity of you all we’re extremely pleased to announce we smashed our target of £5,000 and raised a staggering £11,000!!
The hospice costs almost £4 million each year to run, of which £3 million must be raised locally through individual and organised fundraising initiatives, so every penny really does count.As we go to press we’re not sure of the overall Corporate Challenge total but what we do know is we’re proud to have played a small part in raising funds for this great cause.
