I have been with Petty Real for almost 14 years and during my time with the company I have become an experienced estate agent with extensive first hand knowledge in valuations and viewings, photography and floor planning, sales negotiation, office administration, lettings and property management. Property is a passion of mine and no working day is ever the same. I have even on several occasions represented the company on Homes Under the Hammer! I have many hobbies and interests including distance running, hiking, attending the gym and yoga classes as well as an annual ski trip organised by the local ski club. I have also in the last year been inspired to take Spanish classes following on from many trips to mainland Spain and the Balearic islands.
After leaving school in 1985 I was very unsure as to what career path I would follow until an opportunity arose for me to continue in Further Education whilst working several days a week in a local Estate Agency.
I can honestly say that I am still as passionate about selling houses as I was back in 1985 when it all began. Being able to provide a personal service to our vendors and seeing the results by way of handing keys to the new owners of a property is a fantastic achievement and gives me great satisfaction.
I am a firm believer that everything sells, you just need to find the right buyer. During my spare time I enjoy cycling, running, going to the gym and raising money for Charity. In 2009 I helped to raise a total of £6,500 for a Children’s Cancer Charity by participating in the Great North Run and then I enjoyed it so much I ran it again in 2010 for Pendleside Hospice. I also participated in the Way of the Roses bike ride for a local charity which consisted of a 170 mile cycle route from Morecambe to Bridlington.

I joined the team at Petty Real in July 2019 as an apprentice and I really enjoy my role here. There are great career prospects and I look to work my way up and learn as much as I can. I enjoy helping people find their dream house and sell their house as stress-free as possible. In my spare time I enjoy baking and long walks with my dogs around Pendle Hill.
I’ve spent the first part of my career in senior customer service and sales roles for the likes of Manchester United, Next & Wickes.
The property market is buoyant despite the unusual circumstances in 2020 and we’re embracing new ways of working that’s often technology lead. However, in whatever format we transact, our business remains all about our people and how we adapt to our customers needs.
As MD at Petty Real I’m responsible for our sales, letting & property management operations, a challenge that I thoroughly enjoy! I have a passion for developing and managing people with the aim of making Petty Real and it’s team the estate agent of choice in East Lancashire and beyond.
Hi I’m Gina, I have worked in Estate Agency since I was 16 years old which is far longer than I care to remember! Starting with Pettys on Manchester Road in Nelson as a Junior then poached by Taylforths to head their Colne Office when it opened. In between having my two children I returned to the job and ultimately returned to Pettys in Barnoldswick two and a half years ago. In my spare time, I enjoy walking the many fabulous trails that we have around Barnoldswick and fully support the superb independent business’ that surround our lovely Town Square.
I began estate agency work in the 80s! I joined the team here nearly 12 years ago, started part-time and continued ever since. I love the mix of age groups we have and how we can all help each other out with advice. Technology and systems have developed over the years and I am always learning. You can teach an old dog new tricks and happy to do so. I do feel I have a great rapport with my colleagues and clients, and still get a buzz when a sale is achieved up until completion.
