Community Spirit Shines as Petty Real Supports Pendleside Hospice

This summer, we once again threw our full support behind Pendleside Hospice, a charity that provides invaluable care and support to those in need. With a variety of fundraising events, including physical challenges, a quiz night, and a tribute show, the team at Petty Real rallied behind the cause, raising funds and awareness for this vital service.

The corporate challenge is a fundraising event for the hospice. In 2023 companies across Burnley and Pendle raised a massive total of £167,000. We are hoping to raise even more this year, and as Petty Real Estate Agents, we’ve been throwing our heart and soul into it! And you can join in the festivities, too.

Ian Bythell’s Summer Triathlon Challenge: Cycling 127 Miles for a Worthy Cause

Our Director, Ian Bythell and his friend Martin Schofield, took the lead, embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. This year, Ian and Martins’ efforts were nothing short of remarkable. Ian kicked off his summer triathlon with the Yorkshire Three Peaks, followed by an ambitious cycling journey along the 127-mile Leeds-Liverpool Canal. The journey would see them crossing 226 Bridges and 91 locks!

The entire 127-mile route was an immense test of endurance, but their determination paid off. The team raised over £2,000 in donations for Pendleside Hospice, with more support still coming in.

Pendleside Hospice is a wonderful organisation that guarantees care for individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses. The hospice provides not only medical support but also emotional and psychological care, making a profound difference in the lives of both patients and their loved ones. Ian’s efforts, and the generosity of those who donated, are helping to ensure that this crucial work continues.

Quiz Night at Will’s Bar: A Fun-Filled Evening for Charity

On September 9th, we hosted our annual Quiz Night at Will’s Bar in Barrowford. Always a crowd favourite, this event brought together teams from across the community for an evening of trivia, laughter, and friendly competition. The bar was buzzing with excitement as participants gathered in teams of six to put their wits against each other.

The atmosphere was electric, with everyone fully engaged and eager to contribute to the fundraising efforts for Pendleside. By the end of the night, not only had we crowned a winning team, but we had also raised even more funds for the hospice, adding to the total amount raised during the summer.

The Quiz Night was an overwhelming success, thanks in no small part to the incredible support we received from the local community and businesses that are close to our heart.

Whether through participating, donating, or simply showing up to cheer everyone on, the response was a testament to the strength and generosity of the people around us.

Tribute Night: AJ as Robbie at Nelson Cricket Club

A performer who attended the Quiz Night is also getting ready to entertain you at Nelson Cricket Club at the end of this month. On September 28th at Nelson Cricket Club, you’ll be able to enjoy a tribute show featuring AJ as Robbie Williams. The event, sponsored by Petty Real Estate Agents, will see attendees singing along, dancing, and enjoying an evening of great music and entertainment. The tribute show is not only a fitting end to our busy summer but also an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the success of the fundraising efforts.
