A huge THANK YOU to everyone that called in with a donation for our food bank appeal #RANfoodbank10K in conjunction with Relocation Agents Network.
We delivered our donations to the two food banks this week, the Salvation Army in Nelson and Spacious Place Food bank, part of Spacious Place Engage based in Burnley. To collect so much in just a week was outstanding. Major Carol Ainsworth from Nelson’s Salvation Army said “ We are blown away by the amount and by the generosity of local people. This is going to make a big difference to local families suffering hardship and food poverty in Pendle”
Mark Hirst who set up Spacious Place Food bank added “We’d like to thank Petty and the people of Burnley and Pendle for their kind donations. Without food banks such as us and the Salvation Army many people in our area, including children and vulnerable people, just couldn’t feed themselves.
But it’s also important to remember that food banks are in need of donations every week of the year and we rely on donations like this to keep up us and running”
