After taking a year off last year we have decided in our 90th year to take on the Pendleside Hospice Corporate Challenge.
The challenge sees businesses competed to raise money for Pendleside Hospice after an initial £50 given to them by the hospice. Its then up to the companies involved to turn that into as much money as possible in a four month period (1st June-30th September).
As well as 2018 being our 90th year the Hospice is also celebrating 30 years so it really is a mile stone for us all.
We were delighted to win 3 awards the last time we entered and whilst the most important thing is the taking part as well as money that’s raised, it’s always nice to win something too, so we’re hoping to match our success this time round.
Ian Bythell our Residential Director said “This is such a great initiative by the hospice and we’re really proud to represent our patch as the area’s only chosen Relocation Agent Local Experts. We take our Corporate and Social Responsibility very seriously but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun at the same time.
“Everyone from Pendle knows the great work that the hospice does. Most of us have at some point experienced friends or family with life-limiting illnesses and it’s both humbling and inspiring to see the amazing support for people that is provided by our wonderful hospice.”
Christina Cope, from Pendleside Hospice, added: “We’re really grateful to have had a number of prominent local businesses like Petty’s taking part in the challenge over the last few years and getting so much commitment from all their members of staff. It allows us to continue the work the hospice does in helping people living with a life-limiting illnesses”
